Grant - Guildlines and Applications
To all HCSD Administrators & Educators:
The Harrison Educational Foundation is pleased to announce our grant cycle for the 2011/12 school year. As many of you know, the Foundation's overall mission is to distribute funds for enrichment programs that enhance the curriculum offered in our schools. We hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity to obtain a grant that will benefit the students of our school district.
Grant applications will be evaluated according to the completeness of the following criteria.
Does the request:
- Enhance the curriculum while promoting the vision of the Superintendent and the Board of Education
- Clearly state goals that relate to student learning and/or social well-being
- Identify how results will be measured
- Identify how many students will benefit from this program
- Provide long-term benefits to the students
- Address the possibility of implementation in other classrooms/schools in the district
- Address whether funding should come from the district or other possible sources
- Address publicity opportunities surrounding the grant
Innovative and creative pilot programs are highly encouraged. Requests for teacher stipends/salaries will not be considered nor will proposals that would be deemed ordinary district budget expenses.
Completed applications along with any supporting documentation can either be:
- Sent to the Foundation mailbox in the District central office, ATTENTION: HEF Grant Committee Chair
All applications are due by April 27, 2012. Note that all applications must have the approval and signature of your building's Principal. You will be informed of the Foundation's decision by June 11, 2012.
